Sept 14, 2007:

Ahhhhh... the weather is finally perfect for humans, but plant life is fading chez nous:

cherry tomato

Tomatoes. Still going, but slowing down.

2 headed beet!

Beets. This appears to be a set of conjoined twin beets, joined at the beet! Super cool.

Chard. I think next year I might put these in the flower bed, they're so pretty. Anyone nearby need any chard? This stuff grows faster than we can eat it.

fairy tale eggplant

Fairy Tale eggplant. This plant is still just a wee 6 inches tall! And the poblano chiles.

good v. evil

Science Corner: Okay, this isn't a great picture, but can you see the white dots in the middle? The green caterpillar they are on is a tomato hornworm (BAD). But the little cocoons are actually from a wasp that lays its eggs in the hornworm, and then the little hatching larvae eat the hornworm, thus saving the day. This is cool.

fading fast

Sunflowers go bye bye...
